We were so excited to get started when David Michael Schmit of Renaissance Floral and Design brought us in to help get this surprise 70th birthday party to the finish line.
The birthday girl, her daughter in laws and grandchildren started the day at her house with a hair and makeup team. They were brought to The Renaissance Hotel in a limo for ‘dinner’ – but SURPRISE - there stood 125+ of her closest friends lining the staircase to celebrate!
A champagne aerialist hung from the ceiling to pour a welcome drinks as guests arrived.
Fun fact: the aerialist can only be upside down for a few minutes at a time before the blood rushes to her head!
P!ink made an appearance to perform some of her hit singles.
She was the perfect kick off to ‘get the party started’ as she welcomed Chick into the completely transformed ballroom!
We worked with Paper Dolls of Saratoga to create custom signage for everything – including the phone charging station set up for guests to be able to capture every moment!
The guest of honors name was Chick which prompted us to incorporate a chick in the guest book and the cake topper!
Chick also had a love for flowers and Coco Chanel - two things we knew we had to run with.
We worked with The Ice Man to design Chanel themed ice sculptures as statements in the room.
The signature drinks were a huge hit – garnished with cotton candy stick and a custom drink stirrer.
Those drinks were a great way to toasts the birthday girl!
A photo booth was perfect entertainment for both kids and adults.
The band got everyone on the dance floor for the rest of the night.
